Key Responsibilities
Ensure safe, efficient, and contract‑aligned technical management of assigned cruise vesselMonitor machinery and equipment performance, identify deviations, and implement corrective actionsDevelop, implement, and oversee maintenance and repair plans, ensuring adherence to quality, budget, and timelinesForecast technical requirements, spare parts, and training needs to support maintenance and budget planningOversee the timely resolution of technical issues and maintain effective communication with stakeholdersEnsure compliance with vessel certification and implement technical updates in line with regulatory changesPlan, manage, and follow up on dry-dockings and major repair projects to ensure safe, on-time, and on-budget executionPrepare, manage, and control technical budgets (OPEX & CAPEX), identifying deviations and cost-saving opportunitiesConduct vessel visits, inspections, and internal audits, ensuring timely reporting and follow-up actions
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or equivalent, or Chief Engineer qualificationMinimum 3 years’ sailing experience as a Senior Officer, preferably on cruise vessels, orMinimum 3 years’ shore-based experience as a Technical Superintendent in cruise operations
